NEWS October 30, 2010 CWL screens at the Reel Recovery Film Festival. September 18, 2010 The Mourning Hour is announced as the WINNER of the Slugline Short Screenplay Competition. September 3, 2010 CWL is accepted into the Reel Recovery Film Festival. August 13, 2010 The Mourning Hour is named a Finalist for the Roy W. Dean Film Grant sponsored by From the Heart Productions. June 7, 2010 CWL screens at the Egyptian Theatre in Hollywood. One of only 4 films selected for their Summer Evening of Short Film, we are ecstatic to play at one of Hollywood's most historic and venerable landmarks! May 3, 2010 Conversations With Lucifer premieres at Cinespace in Hollywood! 130 guests came out to support the film and it's creators, and were treated to an action-packed evening. The event began at 7:00PM with a pre-screening hour during which Robin Richardson performed an accoustic set of songs about recovery. It was during this hour that Writer/Producer Shevaun Cavanaugh Kastl presented the debut of her charity CD - Falling Forward: An Album for Recovery Support Inspired by the Motion Picture "Conversations With Lucifer." The album was sold at the event with all proceeds going to the Van Ness Recovery House in Los Angeles, CA. At 8:00PM, guests were admitted to the theatre where local band and rising sensation Pullman Standard performed live. The film screened after, complete with a slide show and Q&A. The night was in every way, a celebration of message-driven, independent cinema that makes a difference. March 15, 2010 CWL is officially complete! No longer a work in progress, the film is ready for all to see. We are formulating a list of prospective festivals to submit to, and planning the premiere! February 20, 2010 CWL screens at the International Short Film, Music and Arts Festival at Hotel Maya in Long Beach. Though still a work in progress, CWL was reviewed and selected by a committee to be part of their program. All proceeds from the festival go toward A.M. Creative, Inc - A non-profit organization benefiting local school districts that will cut budgets in their music and art departments. We consider it a great honor to be part of such a philanthropic effort! February 9, 2009 Conversations With Lucifer is currently in the final stages of post-production. The film, a short about one, young woman's experience in early recovery from drug addiction, is the first project under the company's banner. Founder Shevaun Cavanaugh Kastl is confident that the movie will be complete by early March and ready for festival submission. She plans to screen it at recovery centers and sober-living establishments all over Los Angeles, and hopes that it's message will inspire those struggling with addiction to take the necessary steps to recovery and better their lives. |
